Schooling Certificate

After completing the required courses and passing the exams, all overseas students who study in Ningxia University will be granted a relevant certificate:
Short term students: Certificate of Study
Long term students: Certificate of Completion
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students: Diploma of Relevant Academic Degree

Application Procedure

1. Any one who wishes to study in the school may first contact us either by mail, by telephone or by fax and ask for Ningxia University International Students Application Form for Admission. You can also visit our website at http://sie.nxu.edu.cn for more information. After filling in the form, please mail or fax it back to Ningxia University at your earliest convenience.
2. Once admitted, an admission notification and a Visa Application Form for Admission to China (also called JW202 Form) will be mailed to the applicants. After obtaining these two documents, the applicants can apply for an X visa from their local Chinese Embassy or Consulate.
3. Please complete the following documents before the deadline for registration:

2) JW202 Form
3) Passport
4) Diploma or Certificate for Education
5) Heath Certificate

4. Registration deadline: - March 1 for the spring semester.
　 - September 1 for the autumn semester.
　Short-term programs can be approved for at anytime.

New Student Information

These regulations are written for the purpose of producing a better learning and living environment for international students to work diligently and finish their studies successfully.

一、 Regulations for international students

1. Work hard and finish studies conscientiously

2. Abide by school policies

3. Respect each other and be friendly to one another

4. Observe Chinese laws and regulations

5. Respect the habits and customs of Chinese

6. Others

a. Safety:pay attention to life safety and property safety.

b. Foreign students should devote themselves to their study and friendly contacts with Chinese.Their activities shouldn’t infringe upon human rights and harm public security.

c. When Foreign students organize large celebrations or ceremonies they should first obtain the consent of the school.

d. No distribution or posting of advertisements on campus.Foreign students enjoy freedom to believe in religion,but they may not disseminate or proselytize to others.

二、 Start school,registration and studies

1. At the beginning of each semester,the student should come on time,register,pay fees and complete all formalities.They should prepair passport sized photos and fill in the admission registration form.

2. Newly enrolled students who will study longer than one month should go to local.Entry Administration Bureau to go through the procedure for a residence permit within fifteen days of enrollment.

3. Each year is divided into two semesters.The first semester begins September 1^st,and ends in January of the next year,the second semester is from early February to the middle of July.Each semester consists of approximately 18weeks.

4. Any certificates issued by the school may not be lent to others.They should be stored with care to prevent loss.

5. The students who have finished certain courses of Chinese preparatory education provided by our school and have received qualifying scores will be granted a course contention certificate.

6. Foreign students may live outside of campus premises provided they first register at the local public security bureau.

7. For Entry,Exit and Residence procedures,Foreign students are required to provide a passport with an “X” or “L” in order to enroll for admission and shown an Application form.The <JW202> form,medical examination card and invitation of school are all required.

8. Students whose study period in China will be more than 6 months must acquire certification of health examination.Students who do not have an examination card should go to local health department to receive a physical examination.

Important requirement

If your residence permit is about to expires.Don’t forget to extend the time limit.You’d better hand your passport to the office before ten days or one week of your residence permit expiration date.
